SKF TS 44 Labyrinth seal

Housing seals are the first barrier against contamination. For applications where there are high speeds or extreme temperatures, SKF recommends using labyrinth seals, and for highly contaminated environments, SKF recommends the three-barrier solution. This cost-effective sealing solution can have a significant impact on bearing service life as contaminants have to pass through three barriers to reach the bearing.
