Belts provide a very efficient and cost-effective method for transmitting power from prime movers to driven machines. Banded classical belts are made up of two or more V-belts that are joined together on the top with a reinforced rubber band. This design provides an excellent transverse rigidity that prevents belt turnover, reduces vibration and eliminates excessive belt slip in case of heavy starts of the drive.
