Cylindrical roller bearings are essential machine components used in the steel, railway and other industries. In many cases, cylindrical roller bearings operate under severe conditions and require frequent replacement. Fixed-size EAZ heaters and matching control cabinets provide fast, easy and safe dismounting and mounting of cylindrical roller bearing inner rings and similar components. Heating the inner ring causes it to expand, overcoming the interference fit and enabling the ring to be moved without damaging the shaft or ring.
Fixed-size EAZ induction heaters are designed for safe and easy dismounting and mounting of cylindrical roller bearing inner rings that are often installed with a very tight interference fit. The modular EAZ solution consists of one or two EAZ coils positioned around the application and connected to a suitable control cabinet that powers and controls the coil.
SKF EAZ control cabinets are designed for easy operation of EAZ coils. They enable the user to conveniently set heating parameters and monitor the heating process.

Perfect fit - EAZ coils are designed specifically for a particular inner ring to achieve optimum dismounting performance and safe operation.
Easy handling - A lifting eye, two handles and a mechanism that locks the bearing inner ring inside the coil simplify the dismounting process and help the operator safely handle the heater and hot ring.
Overheat protection - EAZ coils are equipped with an overheat protection circuit that stops the heating process if the internal coil temperature begins to overheat.
Control cabinet
Intuitive operation - Control cabinets feature an intuitive touchscreen that helps the user quickly set up the heater and monitor heating progress.
Automatic temperature control - Control cabinets can automatically stop the heating process when the desired temperature is reached, using a temperature probe on the inner ring.
Demagnetisation for mounting and dismounting - Control cabinets provide automatic demagnetisation at the end of the heating process. This reduces the risk of contamination and enables the EAZ system to be used for both mounting and dismounting applications.
SSD version for two coils - In applications where different EAZ coils are required (e.g. one coil to remove a labyrinth seal ring and another to remove a double-row cylindrical roller bearing), both EAZ coils can remain permanently connected to the cabinet and the user can select which coil to operate.
