High-pressure pipes

SKF high-pressure pipes can be used when SKF oil injection equipment cannot be connected directly to an interference fit. They are typically used for non-bearing applications where the oil injection pressure exceeds 150 MPa (21 750 psi). They consist of a steel pipe with a steel ball fitted at each end. Two swivel connection nipples press these balls against the seats of the connection holes, thereby sealing against oil leakage.
- Flexible connection to mounted components such as gears, railway wheels and couplings.
- All pipes are pressure-tested during manufacture
- Special lengths up to 4 000 mm (157 in.) can be made to order *
Safety warning
Due to the high pressures involved, these high-pressure pipes have a limited service life. All SKF high-pressure pipes are permanently marked with the year in which their service life expires, e.g. DO NOT USE AFTER 2023.
High-pressure pipes are marked with a maximum working pressure of up to 400 MPa (58 000 psi).
