Hydraulic nuts
Easy application of high drive-up forces
Mounting bearings on tapered seats can be difficult and time-consuming. Using an SKF hydraulic nut enables the high drive-up forces required for bearing mounting to be applied easily and quickly.
Dismounting bearings mounted on either adapter sleeves or withdrawal sleeves is often difficult and time-consuming. These difficulties can be reduced by using an SKF hydraulic nut. Oil is pumped into the nut and the piston is pushed out with sufficient force to release the sleeve.
All SKF HMV ..E nuts are supplied with a quick-connect coupling for connection to SKF hydraulic pumps.
- Wide size range for shaft diameters from 50 to 1 000 mm as standard
- A complete range of inch threads is available, HMVC ..E series from 1.967 to 37.410 inches.
- The quick-connect coupling can be fitted on the face or side of the nut, enabling the nut to be used in areas where space is limited
- A spare piston seal set and maintenance kit are supplied as standard
- To facilitate threading of the nuts, a tube of lubricant is supplied with all nuts size HMV(C) 54E and larger
- To facilitate easy handling of the nuts, all nuts size HMV(C) 54E and larger are equipped with two tommy bars and four holes on the front face
- Nuts size HMV(C) 94E and larger are equipped with lifting eye bolts for easy handling
- Nuts size HMV(C) 94E and larger have the thread start position marked, making it easy to align the thread positions on both mating components
