Food-grade chain oils

Olja za verigo živil
The SKF range of food-grade oils has been specially developed for use in the food and beverage industry. In these applications, high temperature, high humidity and low temperatures are key factors when selecting the appropriate oil. The entire range is NSF H1 approved and is therefore suitable for the food industry.

LFFM 80
LFFM 80 high-moisture chain oil performs particularly well in environments with high humidity, for example in proofers and pasta dryers, as well as in applications where condensation may occur. Its low-viscosity synthetic base oil prevents residue build-up on chains and provides good wear and corrosion protection.

LHFP 150
LHFP 150 general-purpose chain oil performs well at low to elevated temperatures, for example in the confectionery industry and fruit and vegetable processing. The formulation is based on synthetic oil and provides good corrosion and wear protection as well as good ageing and oxidation stability.

LFFT 220
LFFT 220 high-temperature chain oil is used primarily in bakery ovens or other equipment exposed to high temperatures. Its formulation and synthetic base provide good wear protection and low evaporation losses at elevated temperatures together with excellent oxidation resistance.

Features and benefits
  • All food-grade chain oils offer high oxidation resistance and good ageing stability, resulting in longer chain service life
  • Lubrication intervals are longer and oil consumption is lower, which in turn reduces energy consumption, improves processing efficiency, extends chain service life and reduces maintenance costs
  • Odourless and tasteless food-grade chain oils comply with general food-contact regulations and provide a high level of safety and ease of handling
  • NSF H1 registered and Halal certified
Typical applications
  • Conveyor chains
  • Drive chains
  • Lifting chains
  • For low-speed chains, brush lubrication is generally used, while medium-speed chains require drip oil application
  • For high-speed chains, spray lubrication (via lubrication systems) is required to ensure continuous lubrication
