Ball bearing units

Because of their versatility and cost-effectiveness, ball bearing units are commonly used in many industrial applications.

Ball bearing units consist of a Y-bearing mounted in a housing. The insert bearing is a ball bearing with a convex outer surface and an extended inner ring incorporating a mechanism for locking the unit onto the shaft.

The SKF range offers a wide variety of units with different housing designs and bearings using various locking methods. It includes units to ISO standards, North American standards and Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS). Ball bearing units can accommodate moderate initial misalignment, but normally do not permit axial displacement.
